JAL Cargo
As JAL’s cargo division, JALCARGO is building an organization that takes active responsibility for cargo operations, and it is implementing responsive measures on its own accord in order to meet the needs of shippers and forwarders by providing timely service. JALCARGO is also aiming to establish a system for management responsibility with the goal of clarifying cargo business income and expenditure.
On April 1, 2004, Japan Airlines became Japan Airlines International Company Ltd., responsible for international air transport business - and Japan Air System became Japan Airlines Domestic Company Ltd., handling domestic air transport operations. In connection with this, JALCARGO is positioned as an internal company of Japan Airlines International Company Ltd.
JALCARGO’s four functions are as follows:
· Planning and management of cargo routes
· Air cargo and airmail sales
· Carrying out air cargo and airmail services (traffic and storage)
· Operation of business related to air cargo (storage management, ground handling, etc.)
JALCARGO organization is as follows:
The head office comprises Administration, IT Planning Office Cargo & Mail, Mail & Domestic Cargo, Cargo Operations , Planning & Marketing Cargo,and Revenue Management Office Planning & Marketing Cargo.
