Rail Transportation Our rail service offers the frequency, reliability, connections, equipment and handling care that companies need for competitive business operations. We interchange daily with the Union Pacific and the BNSF. We handle all container types and lengths, including containers for rail and truck, and provide refrigerated railcars for perishables and temperature-controlled commodities. We can help you reach distant markets and acquire the raw materials and equipment you need for business operations. Transloading Services We provide convenient, efficient transloading services for produce, grains, other food products, lumber, building products, chemicals, oils, and any other cargo you want to ship via our railroad. Truck pickup with refrigeration is available throughout Washington State to transfer your produce or cargo from your dock to our railroad loading facility. We load and unload from ship, barge, rail, truck or aircraft. Our services support export, import and domestic destinations. Transloading gives you endless options. You can reach just about any destination via multiple ports, routes and modes of transportation.

Storage When customers need warehouse or lay down storage, Tri-City & Olympia Railroad can accommodate them. Our facilities include 200,000 sq ft of warehouse and storage space for dry, refrigerated, and frozen products. Our lay-down yard provides for short- and long-term storage of rolling stock or products, e.g., lumber, wall board, and food. We have secured, fenced, paved and lighted areas for storage and rail storage tracks for various rail cars and locomotives.

Industrial Switching Services Tri-City & Olympia Railroad provides on-site freight car switching and rail-related services for companies that operate with inbound, outbound, and in-plant railcar transfers within their own facility. Our services accommodate specific plant, site or operational requirements and can include ordering empty cars for loading, hiring any train service, tracking rail shipments, repairing and maintaining railcars and tracks, and transferring railcars and containers to Tri-City & Olympia Railroad for rail freight service.
