HGI Skydyne

HGI Skydyne offers a variety of case and container types for protection from impact, shock, vibration, rain and dust. Available in fiberglass and aluminum composite construction, the cases are engineered to meet stringent customer, military, EIA and ATA performance specifications. Custom sizes and colors, foam inserts, shock isolation systems, EMI/RFI shielding and optional accessories are available.

HGI Skydyne has been an innovator in the design and manufacture of extremely strong, lightweight shipping and storage cases using composite and other materials since 1938. From that beginning, HGI Skydyne has been recognized as a leader in supplying protective shipping and storage containers, serving the military, aerospace and electronics industries.

From our 68,000-sq. ft. facility in Port Jervis, NY, HGI Skydyne incorporates complete engineering, customer service, manufacturing, quality control and testing functions. HGI Skydyne routinely provides our customers with product design, prototype fabrication, and first article qualification testing prior to production release, final production and assembly. A short list of our customers includes: Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, BAE, Motorola, General Electric, General Dynamics, NASA, BLM, Boeing, Honeywell, Bombardier and Naval Special Warfare Development Group, and the Defense Personnel Support Center to name a few.

HGI Skydyne's engineering expertise has contributed to many Landmark programs: the Telstar satellite, Raytheon's IRIDIUM program, the design and construction of the container used to transport the Apollo Lunar Landing Module to its launch pad. High strength composite materials are engineered into our products to meet the weight and performance requirements demanded by our customers. Manufacturing capabilities include thermoforming, matched metal compression molding, metal and foam fabrication, chemical conversion coating and final product assembly. Typical case materials include fiberglass, various sandwich composite materials, ABS and polyethylene.

Our customers have recognized the operating systems at HGI Skydyne for superior quality and performance. Many Aerospace and Military customers have formally approved our quality assurance system to MIL-I-45208A. We are a certified participant in the VR-100 Supplier Quality Program of Magnavox Electronic Systems Company. We have been awarded Blue Ribbon Vendor status for the Department of the Navy's Naval Command, Control, and Ocean Surveillance Center.
