Warehousing
Inland Star offers both Public and Contract Warehousing as well as Market Specific Warehousing.
Inland Star has been in the third party warehousing and distribution business for more than 19 years. Inland Star has a reputation in the industry for its commitment to environmental protection, responsiveness, and excellent service. Inland Star has public commercial warehousing in Fresno, CA and Rancho Dominguez, CA contract warehousing in Charlotte, NC and Mobile, AL, Suffolk, VA, and Visalia, CA.
Public Warehousing
Inland Star provides public warehousing services at corporate headquarters in Fresno, CA for approximately seventy (70) accounts. A full complement of storage and handling services is provided.
An ideal location for centralized distribution in the West, our Fresno operation provides guaranteed next-day order delivery throughout California and Arizona and second day service to most of the eleven (11) western states.
Inland Star commenced operations in our Rancho Dominguez , CA facility in june 1999. This facility is a highly specialized general commodity, and chemical storage and handling operation. It is serviced by Inland Star Express's dedicated logistics operation specializing in transportation services that are focused on same-day deliveries. It also has 7,000 sq. ft. of H-3 rated flammable storage.
Contract Warehousing
Inland Star operates private DC's on a contractual basis, bringing to bear the same high standards of safety and service found in our public warehousing operation. Inland Star currently manages four contract operations:
Charlotte, NC - 150,000 sq ft, Major Chemical Company
Mobile, AL - 225,000 sq ft, Major Chemical Compnay
Suffolk, VA - 100,000 sq ft, Major Chemical Company
Visalia, CA - 100,000 sq ft, Major Food Company
Each of Inland Star's current contract clients benefit from an innovative "Open Book" approach in which all service delivery issues, including requirements, operating costs, profit margin, incentives, and performance criteria and results, etc., are clearly outlined, documented, reviewed, and "fine-tuned" on a regular basis. The benefits of this approach include reduced risk and cost.
